The goal of this work is to provide an unbiased characterization of the genes/proteins necessary for galvanotaxis (directed cell migration in response to an electrical cue). We perform a CRISPR interference pooled screen of directed migration in human HL-60 cells differentiated into neutrophil-like cells. Relevance to the rapidly migrating neutrophil cell type, but also to other cell types that performed galvanotaxis.
