Effect of feeding regimens on intestinal flora of Sunit sheep

Gut microbiome plays an important role in animal performance and metabolism. The diversity of intestinal flora in ruminants has an important effect on meat quality. High throughput sequencing technology was used to analyze the composition of intestinal flora of Sunit sheep. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of two feeding regimens (pasture feeding and barn feeding) on intestinal microbiota diversity and composition, growth performance and meat quality of Sunit sheep.
