Replication Data for "The Effect of Municipal Subsidy Programs on Balcony-PV Adoption in Germany"

Quarterly panel dataset of 50 German municipalities over 30 quarters (2019-Q1 to 2026-Q2), constructed from the German Market Master Data Register (Marktstammdatenregister, MaStR, downloaded 16 June 2026) and Destatis Regionalstatistik. The dataset contains new balcony-PV registrations per 1,000 inhabitants, a hand-curated binary treatment indicator for active municipal subsidy programs, and municipality-level covariates. One municipality from the original analysis sample of 51 is excluded because its treatment dates rely on a data source that cannot be redistributed; the full dataset is available from the author upon request.
