Images from a Level 2/3 Historic Building Survey at 8 Oriel Street, Liverpool, July 2023 - January 2024

This digital archive comprises images and a report from a 2/3 historic building survey at 8 Oriel Street, Liverpool. The work was undertaken by The Archaeology Co, who visited the property on the 13th July 2023 and the 15th January 2024. The building is recorded as a non-designated heritage asset and appears to have been built in the early 1890s as a purpose built cotton warehouse for B. McPoland, with McPoland B. & Sons cotton brokers recorded still at the property in the 1920's. In the late 1950's McConomy & Co built the adjoining building and later knocked through to the former warehouse.
