This series consists mainly of photographs of Senior Citizens' Week functions - concerts, dances, fairs, exhibitions, garden parties, celebrity cricket matches, ferry cruises, etc. The material was used by the Office as illustrations in its publications, such as its newsletter "The Banyan Tree", posters and media releases. People shown in the photographs include Premiers Wran, Unsworth and Greiner and their wives; Governors Sir Roden Cutler, Sir James Rowland and Sir David Martin and their wives; H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh; politicians Paul Landa, Peter Anderson, Michael Cleary, Franca Arena and Virginia Chadwick; sportsmen Bob Simpson, Doug Walters, Hunter 'Stork' Hendry and Cliff Dolan; and entertainers June Bronhill, Barry Crocker, Normie Rowe, Tommy Tycho, Bill Collins, Jeannie Little, Tony Barber, Julie Anthony, The Seekers, Sandy Scott and Helen Zerefos. The venues shown include the Sydney Town Hall, the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Government House, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Domain and the Martin Place Amphitheatre.
