Victorian Groundwater Management Areas

## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.\n\n\n\nThis dataset represents Victoria's Groundwater Management Areas (GMAs).\n\nWhere groundwater has been intensively developed in Victoria, or has the potential to be developed, Groundwater Management Areas (GMAs) are established and the Permissible Consumptive Volume (PCV) is progressively set. Monitoring of the groundwater resource in these areas is undertaken by the Department of Sustainability and Environment through the State Groundwater Monitoring Network. Water levels and the amount of water allocated to groundwater users in the areas are closely monitored.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThis dataset has been derived by DEPI's Groundwater and Licensing Branch (GLiB) and the Rural Water Corporations.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nVictorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries (2014) Victorian Groundwater Management Areas. 本数据集涵盖维多利亚州地下水管理区（Groundwater Management Areas, GMAs）。

在维多利亚州地下水已被集约开发或具备开发潜力的区域，均设立了地下水管理区（GMAs），并逐步划定允许耗水量（Permissible Consumptive Volume, PCV）。该区域内的地下水资源由可持续与环境部（Department of Sustainability and Environment）通过州地下水监测网（State Groundwater Monitoring Network）开展监测工作，对区域内地下水位及分配给地下水使用者的取水量进行严密监控。
