Venus 45s212 Idunn Mons area

This part of Venus was obscure until infrared data (from VIRTIS on Venus Express) hinted that the volcano, Idunn Mons, may have been active recently. As well as the VIRTIS data, the area was imaged twice by Magellan, in Cycles 1 and 2, provided left and right looking imagery, which here have been combined into a colour view in which the greyscale represents relief and the colour scale primarily represents roughness. Gridded altimeter topography and a map of the dielectric constant, calculated from the emissivity and image data, are also provided along with a database of named features in the area. In addition to Idunn Mons, the area includes a corona, rift fractures, and a variety of different plains units and other features.
