Genome sequence of Vibrio owensii LMG 25430. The strain was obtained from the Belgian Co-Ordinated Collection of Microorganisms (BCCM/LMG). Strain LMG 25430 was previously classified as V. communis, and was designated as a type strain of V. communis. The sequencing was done as a part of a study analyzing closely related bacteria in the so-called Harveyi clade (genus Vibrio, family Vibrionaceae).
