VPRS 10564 Court of Petty Sessions Fair Rents Register

Under the Landlord and Tenant (Amendment) Act 1948, fair rents were to be established by application to a Fair Rents Board. Each Board was to consist of a police magistrate sitting alone and without being bound by legal forms and solemnities although legal representation was permitted.This series is the record of the sittings of the Fair Rents Board at Geelong.
