Implementation of a Natural Disaster Mitigation Knowledge Management System for Post-Disaster Areas Mangunkerta Village Cianjur Regency West Java

Indonesia is located on the equator with a tropical climate. During the rainy season, rainfall is high, triggering tornadoes, floods, and landslides. Meanwhile, during the dry season, rainfall is low, resulting in drought and forest and land fires. These natural phenomena pose a threat of natural disasters, so it is necessary to increase public awareness of these events. In line with the development of information technology that has entered the era of media convergence, the process of socializing natural disaster preparedness and mitigation can also be carried out using this tool. The SECI theory (Socialized, Externalized, Combination, Internalization) can be used as a basis for developing a knowledge management system about disasters, and the cycle method of the knowledge management system related to the natural disaster knowledge formed can be used for independent learning of natural disaster mitigation. The results of this research conducted in Mangunkerta Village are expected to have a positive impact on rural communities frequently affected by natural disasters and can also serve as an example for other villages in increasing preparedness in facing natural disasters and facilitate the determination of policies related to sustainable natural disaster mitigation for village stakeholders.
