资源简介:
This dataset encompasses handgrip strength (HGS) measurements, end-of-semester Grade Point Average (GPA), height (in meters), and body mass (in kilograms) for N = 405 predominantly first-year college students. The data were collected as part of a comprehensive study aimed at investigating the relationship between physical strength, academic performance, and general health indicators among young adults.
Key Components:
Handgrip Strength (HGS): Measurements were taken using a standardized protocol, with the Maximum Average Handgrip Strength (MaxAvgHGS) calculated from the highest average of three trials for each hand.Grade Point Avergae (GPA): End of semester GPAAnthropometric Data: Includes height and body mass, from which Body Mass Index (BMI) was derived for each participant.Normalized MaxAvgHGS: To account for variations in body size, the MaxAvgHGS was normalized using allometric scaling.
