Datasets accompanying the research paper: Pärtel M., Degtjarenko P., Davison J., Helm A., Jõks M., Kõljalg U., et al. “Urban soil Gammaproteobacteria diversity, shaped by biodiverse land use, predicts lower risk of developing allergy in children” 2026. Urban Forestry & Urban Greening https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ufug.2026.129514 ====================================================================GENERAL DESCRIPTION==================================================================== These datasets contain the processed environmental, land-cover, and health-related variables used in the statistical analyses presented in the manuscript. The study was conducted in Tartu, Estonia. Dataset1.csv links childhood atopy to urban environmental variables and distance to public green spaces with high soil bacterial diversity. Dataset2.csv contains environmental measurements from urban green spaces, including soil Gammaproteobacteria diversity, plant diversity, soil chemistry, land cover, and public access type. Exact residential coordinates of study participants are not included in order to protect privacy. Raw sequencing data are available from the NCBI Sequence Read Archive: BioProject PRJNA1444142.
