Space-based solar power deliverable-capacity data: orbit–site simulations and demand-oriented deployment results

This dataset supports a time-resolved assessment of the deliverable capacity of space-based solar power. It contains publicly available external-data subsets, processed model inputs, and source data underlying the principal manuscript results. The dataset supports annual single-satellite comparisons across six reference orbit configurations and ten receiving sites, together with demand-oriented one-, two- and three-satellite deployment analyses for Wichita and Munich. The source data underlie Figs. 2 and 3 and Table 2. All time-series data are reported in UTC. External inputs comprise NOAA/NCEI total solar irradiance data, EIA-930 Southwest Power Pool demand, SMARD German electricity consumption, and Open-Meteo ERA5 meteorological data for ten sites. Because the original Open-Meteo API responses were not retained, the supplied meteorological subset was reconstructed using the original query settings. The archived source-data files provide the values underlying the reported figures, table, and numerical results. File provenance, processing procedures, units, manuscript mapping, terms of use, row counts, and SHA-256 checksums are documented in README.md and data_manifest.csv.
