The dataset is the result of three-dimensional (3-D) particle-in-cell(PIC) simulations of magnetic reconnection produced by the VPIC code. Detailed data include: two-dimensional distribution of electric and magnetic fields, electron and ion flow velocity, current density, electron and ion temperature, and the terms in the generalized Ohm's law. The dataset can be used to study magnetic reconnection in 3-D space.
