CRCN-NE Metaphase Dataset

This dataset contains 519 images of cells in the metaphase stage, each with corresponding annotations in YOLO format. The images were obtained through a collaboration between the Regional Center for Nuclear Sciences of the Northeast (CRCN-NE) and the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE).

Each image is paired with a text file containing bounding box information for detected chromosomes, including class ID and normalized coordinates (x_center, y_center, width, height). This dataset is intended for research in cytogenetics, medical imaging, and computer vision tasks related to chromosome detection and classification. The creation of this dataset was made possible through the partnership between UFRPE and CRCN-NE, with access to imaging resources and expertise.

There is also a set of discarded images that were too difficult to label, the subset is named as discarded.zip.
