In Arabidopsis, transitions from juvenile to adult vegetative phase and from adult vegetative to reproductive phase are proposed to depend on age-dependent reductions in levels of the related microRNAs miR156 and miR157. In this study, we compared the functions of miR156 and miR157 using sRNA sequencing, CRISPR-cas9 induced mutations and confocal imaging.
