Research dataset for the article "National Cancer Control Programmes in Europe in 2024: State-of-Play and Alignment with the European Guide for Quality National Cancer Control Programmes"

This research dataset accompanies the article “National Cancer Control Programmes in Europe in 2024: State-of-Play and Alignment with the European Guide for Quality National Cancer Control Programmes.” It contains the survey questionnaire and descriptive data collected from 34 participating countries. The survey targeted national experts responsible for National Cancer Control Programmes (NCCPs). The list of experts was compiled by the coordinator of the work at the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH). The questionnaire consists of 15 questions, including sub-questions. Questions 1–14 relate to the general section of the survey (Part 1), while Question 15 corresponds to the specific section (Part 2). The survey, together with individualized cover letters tailored to the national context of each country, was distributed at the end of April 2024 via the 1KA online survey platform. The survey was sent to identified national experts from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and Ukraine. Dataset contents: Appendix 1: OriON JA Survey Questionnaire (Version 1, Zenodo) Appendix 2: Summary of Data Analysis and Responses to OriON JA Survey Questions (Version 1, Zenodo) Appendix 3: OriON JA Descriptive Analysis (Frequencies and Percentages; added in Version 2) The descriptive analysis for Q1–Q15 (Version 2) is based on responses from 31 countries that confirmed in Q1 the existence of an NCCP or an equivalent cancer control document.
