To analyze in detail the biostratigraphy, micropaleontology and paleobiogeography of the marine and continental microbiotas in the Antarctic Peninsula region, developed during the Mesozoic and Cenozoic, and with the further scope to understand how fossil groups have been widespread related to climatic changes, produced by glaciations in that continent, and the definitive Gondwana
breakup.

Se intenta analizar en detalle la micropaleontologia, bioestratigrafia y paleobiogeografia de microbiotas marinas y continentales desarrolladas en Pla. Ant�rtica durante el fin de Mesozoico y el Cenozioco y vincular la dispersi�n de estas �ltimas con los cambios clim�ticos producto de las primeras glaciaciones en dicho continente, como as� tambi�n con la separaci�n definitiva del continente de Gondwana.
