Chabrier+2019/2021 hydrogen and helium EOS tables in PALEOS format for PROTEUS
收藏资源简介:
Hydrogen, helium, and hydrogen-helium mixture equation of state (EOS) tables converted to the PALEOS column format used by the PROTEUS planetary evolution framework. The original EOS data are from Chabrier, Mazevet & Soubiran (2019, ApJ 872, 51) and Chabrier & Debras (2021, ApJ 917, 4), available at http://perso.ens-lyon.fr/gilles.chabrier/DirEOS/DirEOS2021 Each table provides pressure, temperature, density, internal energy, entropy, heat capacity at constant pressure (cp), heat capacity at constant volume (cv), thermal expansivity (alpha), and the adiabatic gradient (nabla_ad) on a regular grid in log10(P) and log10(T). The tables cover temperatures from 100 to 10^8 K, pressures from 1 Pa to 10^22 Pa, spanning the full range from giant planet envelopes to stellar interiors. Converted tables (PALEOS format, used by Zalmoxis and SPIDER):- chabrier2021_H.dat: Pure hydrogen- chabrier2021_HE.dat: Pure helium- chabrier2021_HHe_Y0275.dat: H/He mixture, Y = 0.275 (protosolar)- chabrier2021_HHe_Y0292.dat: H/He mixture, Y = 0.292 (DUSTY/COND models)- chabrier2021_HHe_Y0297.dat: H/He mixture, Y = 0.297 (BHAC2015 models) Original tables from Chabrier are included in the original_tables/ subdirectory for reproducibility. Columns directly from the Chabrier tables: P, T, rho, u, s, nabla_ad. Derived columns: cp (from nabla_ad and alpha), cv (from the Mayer relation), alpha (from the logarithmic density derivative). Full derivation details and reliability assessment are documented in the conversion script available in Zalmoxis/src/tools. Known limitations:- cp is unreliable in the H2 dissociation zone (T ~ 3000-30000 K, P ~ 0.1-1000 GPa) where nabla_ad is clamped at 0.100 in the original tables. These points are flagged as phase_id = "dissociating".- cv may be numerically unreliable near phase transitions due to cancellation in the Mayer relation. Flagged points have ":cv_unreliable" appended to the phase_id column. The "effective" hydrogen table (TABLE_H_TP_effective) is included in not_used_in_zalmoxis/ but must NOT be used as a standalone pure H EOS. It is designed only for computing H/He mixtures beyond the ideal volume law, following Eqs. 8-11 of Chabrier et al. (2019).
