18 wood next blocks with 50 holes each, 15cm deep and 0.7cm diameter, were put out at Hastings reserve on February 25, 2006. They were nailed to trees near big creek (8 blocks) and Robertson creek (10 blocks) approximatly 15 meters apart, facing southeast at about 1.5 meters high. 180 Osmia lignaria propinqua nests were collected from the 900 holes available. The progeny in these nests were used for studies to determine temperature effects on developmental biologies and compared to O. lignaria of different phenotypes. The contents of the nests are included here.
