Saccharomycodes ludwigii: comparative genomics of wild-type isolates. Saccharomycodes ludwigii

Saccharomycodes ludwigii is an ascomycetous yeast species of the Saccharomycodaceae family. Despite its ability to reproduce sexually, meiosis in this species is unusual in that crossing over occurs extremely rarely. In this project, we performed whole-genome sequencing and comparative analysis of S. ludwigii wild-type isolates to gain insight into genome evolution in the absence of meiotic recombination.
