Dataset contains 18 samples. Soil was sampled in October 2022. Soil was sampled from two locations, University of Warwick Stratford Innovation Campus, and Coventry City, corresponding to low (<1000), and high (>400,000) human population. Within these locations, samples were taken from three land-use types: agricultural, woodland, and built. Here, we define ‘built’ soil as that found within one metre of human made structure such as buildings and car parks.There were three replicates of each land-use type and each location. Measured variables are potential NOy, NO and NOy - NO fluxes from intact 0-10cm soil cores, soil physicochemical properties, metagenomic (DNA) and metatranscriptomic (RNA) Illumina NovaSeq sequencing, and net rates of nitrogen cycle processes.
本数据集共包含18份土壤样品。样品采集于2022年10月,采样地点分为两处:华威大学斯特拉特福德创新校区(University of Warwick Stratford Innovation Campus)与考文垂市(Coventry City),分别对应人类人口低密度(<1000)与高密度(>400000)区域。
在上述两处采样点中,均设置三种土地利用类型的采样场景:农用地、林地与建筑周边土壤。本研究中将“建筑周边土壤”定义为距人工构筑物(如建筑物、停车场)1米范围内的土壤。每种土地利用类型在每个采样点均设置3次生物学重复。
本次测定的指标包括:原状0-10cm土壤岩芯的潜在NOy、NO及NOy-NO通量,土壤理化性质,宏基因组(metagenomic, DNA)与宏转录组(metatranscriptomic, RNA)的Illumina NovaSeq测序数据,以及氮循环过程的净速率。
