Reproducibility Package for "Geographic Disparities in Hospice Quality and Family Caregiver Experience: The Roles of Ownership, Social Vulnerability, and Workforce Capacity"

This record contains reproducibility materials for the manuscript “Geographic Disparities in Hospice Quality and Family Caregiver Experience: The Roles of Ownership, Social Vulnerability, and Workforce Capacity.” The package documents the public data sources, provider-level and county-level linkage structure, variable construction, audit checks, model specifications, derived analysis files, and figure/table generation workflow used in the study. The analysis links publicly available provider-level CMS Hospice and CAHPS Hospice Survey data with county-level measures of rurality, social vulnerability, community health burden, and workforce/resource capacity. The study uses publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Health Resources and Services Administration Area Health Resources File, the United States Department of Agriculture Rural–Urban Continuum Codes, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry Social Vulnerability Index, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention PLACES program, and U.S. Census county boundary files. No restricted patient-level data, identifiable individual-level data, or protected health information are included in this package. Raw public source files are not redistributed; instead, the package provides source manifests, derived analysis files, audit summaries, code, and reproducibility documentation.
