COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF PARTS OF SPEECH IN UZBEK AND CHINESE

This article provides a detailed comparative and typological analysis of parts of speech in Uzbek and Chinese. Uzbek, as an agglutinative language, mainly expresses grammatical meanings through affixation, whereas Chinese, an isolating language, conveys grammatical relations primarily through word order and function words. The study examines the structural and functional characteristics of nouns, verbs, adjectives, numerals, adverbs, pronouns, and auxiliary words. In addition, special attention is paid to the role of compound words in Chinese word formation and their semantic and grammatical significance. The findings are valuable for comparative linguistics, translation studies, and foreign language teaching methodology.
