Climate: The Predictions That Expired — 100 Expired Predictions Audit Dataset

This dataset provides the public verification layer for the final 100-case audit in Patrick Panteix’s book CLIMATE: THE PREDICTIONS THAT EXPIRED — What We Were Told. What Actually Happened. Who Profited. Each record identifies a dated environmental or climate-related claim, its deadline or testable horizon, the post-deadline observation used for comparison, the published verdict, the source trail for the original claim, and the post-deadline verification source. The audit tests dated claims, not motives or ideologies. A failed deadline does not imply that the underlying environmental phenomenon is unreal. A glacier can retreat and still outlive a predicted disappearance date; a species can decline and still survive an extinction deadline; a warming trend can be real while a specific timetable is wrong. The methodology preserves the original geography, metric, date, conditions and qualifiers of each claim. Conditional statements are evaluated with their conditions attached, and duplicate versions of the same source family are not counted twice. Research cutoff: September 14, 2026. This public dataset intentionally contains only the material necessary to verify the published 100-case audit. It does not include the complete internal research archive, discarded candidates, draft material, private research notes or unpublished source-capture files.
