6mo. old male C57bl/6j mice were exposed to 0.5 Gy of 1H (600MeV/n) followed by 0.1Gy of 16O (600MeV/n). 9 mo. later, mice were sacrificed, their whole hippocampi were collected, snap frozen, and genomic DNA was isolated. DNA was processed and sequenced against a custom targeted array for genes involved in oxidative stress, inflammation, and immediate early genes. SNP analyses were conducted and compared between sham and irradiated animals.
