Measurement of neutron total cross sections and resonance parameters analysis of ¹⁶⁹Tm in the region from 1 eV to 100 eV

The neutron total cross section of ¹⁶⁹Tm was measured at the Back-n white neutron beamline of the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). Signals were recorded by a wing-shaped lithium-glass detector coupled with a CAEN DT5730B, and the data were processed using the ROOT. Neutron transmission and total cross sections were obtained in the energy range of 1–100 eV. By combining the transmission data with neutron capture measurements carried out at Back-n, R-matrix fits were performed using the SAMMY code, from which the resonance parameters were extracted. Based on the extracted parameters, the total cross section of ¹⁶⁹Tm was reconstructed.
