Export Data\n\nAccess APINSW Transport Theme - RailwayPlease NoteWGS 84 service aligned to GDA94This\n dataset has spatial reference [WGS 84 ≈ GDA94] which may result in \nmisalignments when viewed in GDA2020 environments. A similar service \nwith a ‘multiCRS’ suffix is available which can support GDA2020, GDA94 \nand WGS 84 ≈ GDA2020 environments. In due course, and allowing time \nfor user feedback and testing, it is intended that the original service \nname will adopt the new 'multiCRS' functionality.Metadata Portal Metadata InformationContent TitleNSW Transport Theme - RailwayContent TypeHosted Feature LayerDescriptionNSW Transport theme Railway represents a permanent way of having one or more rail lines which provide tracks for vehicles. A railway can be heavy rails, light rail, monorail and heavy rail siding, for example a railway, tramway or monorail. This data is held and maintained within the Foundation Spatial Data Framework (FSDF) Transport theme and includes key attributes such as railway name and on-type (e.g onground, onbridge, intunnel etc).Data in Railway includes:Heavy Rail - A track or set of tracks of iron or steel rails used for the passage of trains.Heavy Rail Siding - A short branch off a railway track, often connected at both ends to the mainline track, and used for shunting or for loading, unloading, and storing goods trucks. This line feature dataset is part of the Digital Topographic.Lightrail - A track or set of tracks of iron or steel rails used for the passage of light rail.Monorail - A railway track that consists of a single rail or beam.Transport data is used for:Delivering emergency servicesMapping, charting and navigationPlanning for and delivering resources and servicesAsset managementInfrastructure planning and development.Spatial Services continuously updates this theme with information sourced from relevant stakeholders and custodians, by data verification from other internal and external databases, by field investigation and research, as well as through Spatial Services’ regular cycle of updating aerial imagery.Initial Publication Date06/02/2020Data Currency01/01/3000Data Update FrequencyOtherContent SourceData provider filesFile TypeESRI File Geodatabase (*.gdb)Attribution©\n State of New South Wales (Spatial Services, a business unit of the \nDepartment of Customer Service NSW). Therefore, the position of the feature instance will \nbe within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points.
