This archive contains the processed data and analysis code supporting the study “A reconstructed decade of surface soil moisture indicates a wetting trend in a semi-arid Indian watershed.” The study examines the seasonal loss of SMAP-400 m soil-moisture observations during the southwest monsoon and develops a locally calibrated Sentinel-1 reconstruction for the Harave watershed in Karnataka, India. The full reconstruction contains 121 monthly estimates spanning January 2016 to February 2026. The rainfall-linked trend analysis uses 117 monthly estimates through October 2025. The deposited materials support the principal analyses reported in the manuscript and supplementary material, including sensor-availability statistics, transfer-function calibration, common-sample Bayesian Information Criterion comparison, leave-one-year-out validation, monthly reconstruction, decade-scale trend analysis, Monte Carlo uncertainty propagation, seasonal trend decomposition, post-monsoon carry-over analysis, and regional TDR transferability assessment. The archive contains only the processed inputs and scripts required to reproduce the reported results. Raw Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and SMAP satellite imagery is not redistributed. These source products remain available from their respective public data providers. Please consult the README included in the archive for file descriptions, software requirements, reproduction instructions, data provenance and any restrictions applying to rainfall or field-observation data.
