Vibrio parahaemolyticus SC192 gene expression analysis during planktonic and biofilm stages

The gene expression of Vibrio parahaemolyticus SC192 strain, a pandemic strain of O3:K6 serotype was analyzed using high throughput mRNA sequencing method employing an illumina sequencer during planktonic and biofilm stages. The expression of mRNA was analyzed during three different stages, corresponding to 4h exponential phase planktonic stage, 12h stationary phase planktonic stage and 18h biofilm stage. The study is expected to provide the genes specific to the biofilm stage of Vibrio parahaemolyticus SC192 strain.
