SGA 5 and SGA 6: Modern LaTeX Working Editions, French Source Workpasses, English and Spanish Translations, and Audit Materials

This is the reader-facing SGA working record for the Modern LaTeX Editions of Mathematics Manuscripts project. It contains modern LaTeX working editions, French source-repair workpasses, machine-assisted English translations, a bounded Spanish SGA 6 translation, source witnesses, build evidence, and audit material for SGA 5 and SGA 6. Open first: 00_SGA5_English_SourceChecked_WorkingTranslation_NotCritical_20260717.pdf, the current 309-page source-aware SGA 5 English working translation. The record also directly exposes the corrected 381-page SGA 6 English reader, the 374-page French SGA 6 source-rescribe checkpoint at idx684, the French SGA 5 workpass, and the bounded Spanish SGA 6 Expose X tranche for idx532--537. SGA 5 Spanish withdrawal: the Spanish SGA 5 checkpoints in records 21428977 and 21429136 are not current release material. A terminology-ledger cross-check found that the attempted re-audit in record 21429136 replaced the edition's canonical Spanish category-theory forms funtor/funtorial with English-shaped forms. The mathematics in the bounded interval was not found defective, but the language regression makes that payload non-canonical. This version therefore removes both held Spanish SGA 5 checkpoint surfaces from the current file set. A newly rebuilt Spanish checkpoint will be added only after new canonical hashes and a fresh handoff are issued. SGA 6 English authority layers: source-PDF 001--525 uses an inherited English control that is partially source-synchronized but not globally source-checked; idx532--662 is source-checked against the directly checked French workpass available for that range; idx663--702 and terminal matter are scan-checked English draft layers pending later French reconciliation. Status: these are substantive machine-assisted, source-aware working editions and translations, not OCR-only output. None is an independently human-certified critical edition, complete SGA translation, whole-volume source-faithfulness certification, publication-grade proofread edition, or diagram-by-diagram certification. Known and unknown mathematical or diagram errors may remain. Corrections can be proposed through the GitHub mirror.
