This dataset contains the hyperspectral reflectance measurements and Python scripts used for the analyses presented in the manuscript “Laboratory-Based Hyperspectral Reflectance Analysis for Phytoplankton Species Identification”. The repository includes: Raw reflectance spectra for five algal species measured at different cellular concentrations. Raw reflectance spectra for three controlled algal mixtures. Preprocessing outputs (water correction and normalization) used in the manuscript. Python scripts for PCA, LDA, Similarity Index (SI), and Linear Spectral Unmixing (LSU). All data were collected under controlled laboratory conditions and are shared to support reproducibility and further research on phytoplankton optical properties. How to reproduce the analysisScripts are written for Python 3.10. Required packages include: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, scipy, and cvxpy (solver: OSQP).A brief description of the input/output of each script is provided in the file list and in the comments at the top of each script.
