VPRS 21409 Minute Books

This series comprises volumes recording the minutes of meetings held by the Bruthen Waterworks Trust (VA 2072). Minutes of meetings of Waterworks Trusts and Water and Sewerage Boards were created in accordance with section 212 of the Water Act 1890 (no. 1156) and subsequent legislation including the Water Act 1905 (No. 2016), Water Act 1958 (no. 6413) and Water Act 1989 (No. 80). These Acts required that for each meeting, minutes of all proceedings be recorded together with the names of all commissioners present that voted for and against motions. Item 2 (1952-1965) includes an index at the back of the volume. Item 3 (1965-1984) includes an index at the front of the volume.
