Determination of genome-wide DNA end structure

DNA double strand breaks are potentially deleterious events in a cell, and much work has gone towards understanding breaks and their repair. The end-structure at sites of double-strand breaks contributes to their repair, among other factors. Over recent years, many techniques have arisen to sequence DNA breaks with high precision. We describe the use of a normalized cross correlation analysis to determine genome wide break end-structure distributions from such sequencing techniques.
