资源简介:

The .zip folders contain the long-term probabilistic tephra-fallout hazard maps based on the recent study Massaro et al. (2023), Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (https://doi.org/10.5194/nhess-23-2289-2023). In particular the .zip folders provide: Absolute hazard maps for Somma-Vesuvius, considering all aggregated size classes (three in total), identified as small, medium, and large eruptions. Absolute hazard maps for Campi Flegrei, considering all aggregated size classes (three in total), identified as small, medium, and medium-large eruptions. Combined absolute hazard maps (Vesuvius + Campi Flegrei), considering all the six size classes. Each folder includes the corresponding data matrices in both .npy and .txt formats, which can be easily opened with Python or (most likely) with QGIS, as well as the related .png image files. The matrices refer to exceedance probabilities of 1%, 2%, 5%, and 10%, consistently assuming a 50-year time window. For the combined hazard maps (i.e., the combination of results from the single-source hazard maps), the so-called “comonotonic sampling” procedure has been employed. As a result, these maps represent a conservative or “worst-case” scenario, in which the maximum ground load from both volcanic sources occurs concurrently.
