资源简介:
This study explores why no Thai innovators were recognized in MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 (MIT TR35) Asia Pacific awards (2020–2024). Analyzing 40 young innovators (20 from Southeast Asia [SEA], 20 from other Asia Pacific regions) and Global Innovation Index 2024 data, it compares competencies, outcomes, and ecosystem barriers. Both groups showed strong innovation skills, with SEA innovators reporting higher funding success (100% vs. 80%). However, commercialization and market adoption were limited across regions. The findings suggest Thailand’s absence reflects ecosystem gaps—such as weak venture capital, limited IP protection, and lack of global networks—rather than a lack of individual talent. The study offers insights to strengthen Thailand’s innovation ecosystem and improve its global competitiveness.
