Single cell transcriptome analyses of Monodelphis domestica thymus

This study focuses on whole single-cell transcriptome analyses of the thymus in association with the T cell subsets found there and the unique olfactory receptors (ORs) expressed on them. Single, unselected mononuclear cells were sorted into 96 well plates, RNA was harvested and sequenced. Annotation of cell type was performed by identifying those cells containing functionally rearranged T cell receptor transcripts. ORs were identified on cell types, including T cells. This study provides insight into the unique genomic expansion of ORs and their expression on T cells.
