The German cockroach (Blatella germanica) is the most common indoor urban pest and it harbors diverse array of microbes. They translocate the microbes on their surfaces and in feces. The goals of the study are understand the bacterial and protist diversity in feces and gut of field-collected and lab-reared German cockroaches.
