SPOT/VGT Burnt Area and Seasonality, 1999-present

The SPOT/VGT Burnt Areas product is derived from SPOT/VEGETATION sensor data daily and delivered every 10 days. Version 1 is an improved algorithm and covers full globe, including seasonality information, delivered in continents and 10 degree tiles. While in version 0 the reset date is fixed to 1st April, version 1 uses the seasonality to reset the first date of burn detection. V0 (Africa) is provided from 2010 to present. V1 (global) is provided for 1999 to present. Both burnt area products are provided at 1 km special resolution.
