资源简介:

This is a dataset of monthly or semimonthly Global Positioning System (GPS) surface elevation data gathered along a defined survey transect to the west of Summit Station, Greenland, spanning from 2006 August 24 to 2025 April 2. These data were originally gathered to support ground comparison efforts with the Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) from 2006 to 2009, and now the ICESat-2 satellite from 2018 to 2025. This dataset provides a 18+ year record of surface elevation change, which has applications for ice dynamics and validating space-based observations. Data are provided in RINEX format.

This is the longest running record of consistent surface elevation measurements made in the dry snow zone in Greenland. This dataset complements ground traverses conducted at 88 degrees S in Antarctica that also validate space-based measurements.
Data Product Spatial Region: 15 km survey transect to the west of Summit Station, Greenland.
Data Product Temporal Coverage: 2006-08-24 to 2025-04-02
Data collection is on-going and new data will be uploaded annually. Please see Version tab for complete history.
