Knockdown of hnRNP A1 in Neuro-2a cells as a loss-of-function model

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 (hnRNP A1) is an RNA binding protein that is localized to neurons and plays important roles in RNA metabolism. Evidence indicates that dysfunctional hnRNP A1 contributes to the pathogenesis of neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis. Here, we model hnRNP A1 loss of function by siRNA mediated knockdown in differentiated Neuro-2a cells.
