Chronic Brain Lesion MRI with Manual Lesion Segmentations (CCNRP, Cambridge)

This dataset contains defaced structural MRI scans and corresponding lesion masks from individuals with chronic focal brain lesions (CCNRP cohort). Modalities: - T1-weighted MRI Lesion masks: - Binary lesion masks are provided for each participant - Masks are in the same native space as the corresponding T1-weighted image - Lesions are chronic and non-progressive at the time of scanning? - Lesions arise from heterogeneous aetiologies, including ischemic stroke and surgical resections (exact distribution not provided at the individual level) - Lesions were manually delineated on a case-by-case basis by a senior neurologist using the MRIcron software. Image orientation and preprocessing: - Detailed preprocessing histories (e.g., software versions, normalization steps) are not consistently available across participants due to the archival nature of the dataset and are therefore not included De-identification: - All anatomical images have been defaced prior to upload - No personal identifiers are included in filenames or metadata - Clinical dates and detailed medical histories are not included due to heterogeneity and privacy considerations Participants: - The dataset includes 204 participants in total - Participant-level demographic or clinical variables (e.g., age, sex, aetiology) are not provided in the public release Intended use: - Evaluation and development of automated lesion segmentation methods - Methodological research in lesion–symptom mapping
