资源简介:
To identify the biosynthetic genes of phenylethanoid glycosides, sesame culture cells were treated with methyl jasmonate as an elicitor. The biosynthetic pathway for phenylethanoid glycoside is based on previous feeding tests using cultured cells such as Olea europaea and Syringa vulgaris. The genes involved in the actual biosynthesis are not known. Sesame culture cells produce acteoside, which is phenylethanoid glycosides. Methyl jasmonate treatment increased the acteoside content of sesame culture cells by 6.6-fold in 24h. Transcriptome analysis was performed because the increased acteoside production is thought to be due to up-regulation of related biosynthetic genes. This project includes transcriptome data of methyl jasmonate-treated sesame culture cells.
