Robust measurements of black hole spin in supermassive black holes that are not rapidly rotating is difficult because of selection effects and technical challenges. We propose to observe the bright Seyfert 1 galaxy comma Mrk 79 comma with NuSTAR and XMM comma to confirm or correct the existing measured spin parameter of a*virgul0.7 comma which is based on multi-epoch XMM and Suzaku observations. Though measurements from the multi-epoch analysis are precise comma some parameters openPare.g. photon index and reflection fractionclosePar appear unusual when compared with typical AGN values. The sensitivity above 10 keV provided with NuSTAR will let us directly constrain the primary continuum and Compton hump. This will result in more accurate measurements of the model parameters and a tighter constraint of the black hole spin.
