资源简介:
This dataset provides information about forest area as a percentage of Qatar's total land area. Under the FAO definition, forest is land spanning more than 0.5 hectares with trees higher than 5 metres and canopy cover above 10 per cent, or trees able to reach those thresholds in situ; land predominantly under agricultural or urban use is excluded. Land area is the country area excluding inland waters and coastal waters. The value is calculated as forest area divided by land area, multiplied by 100. The indicator is a broad measure of forest extent and does not by itself demonstrate that forests are sustainably managed. The uploaded observations are country data from the FAO Global Forest Resources Assessment and FAOSTAT.
