The dataset covers county-level population and employment development indicators from 2001 to 2023 for 108 county-level administrative units (counties, county-level cities, districts) across 11 cities and demonstration zones in Shaanxi Province: Xi'an, Xianyang, Baoji, Weinan, Tongchuan, Yan'an, Yulin, Hanzhong, Shangzhou, Ankang, and Yangling Demonstration Zone. A total of 40 population and employment development indicators are included, such as total population at year-end, female population, male population, annual number of births, number of employees in units at year-end, population density, and other relevant metrics.
