Pre-competitive anxiety in padel: the role of sex and competitive experience

This dataset contains anonymised data from a cross-sectional study examining pre-competitive anxiety in padel players. A total of 135 participants (62 men and 73 women) were included and classified according to competitive level as professional or amateur. The dataset includes demographic variables (sex and competitive level) and psychological measures obtained using the Sport Anxiety Scale-2 (SAS-2), which assesses three dimensions: somatic anxiety, worry, and concentration disruption. Scores for each subscale are provided, along with summary variables used for statistical analyses. The data were used to explore differences in anxiety levels based on sex and competitive level through descriptive statistics and inferential analyses. All data have been fully anonymised and are provided in a format suitable for replication and secondary analysis.
