Genome-scale Metabolic Model: iHQW-TK

This repository contains iHQW-TK, a curated genome-scale metabolic model (GSMM) of the square halophilic archaeon Haloquadratum walsbyi (strain DSM 16790 / HBSQ001), extended with a non-ideal, energy-dependent thermokinetic framework. The model is provided in SBML Level 3 Version 1 format with the Flux Balance Constraints (FBC) Version 2 package. Model reconstruction integrated genome reannotation, sequence and structural homology, and extensive manual curation, resolving functional assignments for previously uncharacterized proteins. Reaction directionality was constrained using physiologically corrected Gibbs free energies to reflect thermodynamic feasibility under hypersaline conditions. This deposit accompanies the manuscript "A thermokinetic genome-scale metabolic model of dominant archaeon Haloquadratum walsbyi reveals physicochemical constraints shaping carbon use" (submitted).
