Fusion-derived circular RNAs (fcircRNAs) represent a class of potential biomarkers shown to have oncogenic potential that elude existing analytical tools. To address, this we developed the first unbiased tool for detecting fcircRNAs (INTEGRATE-CIRC) and visualizing fcircRNAs (INTEGRATE-Vis) from RNA-Seq data. We demonstrate the utility of both tools using (1) simulated data, (2) public cell line data and (3) experimental validation of novel fcircRNAs in a well characterized breast cancer cell line (HCC1395).
