Poxviruses are able to efficiently evade host immune response using diverse approaches. In the present work we have analyzed the contribution of ectromelia virus (ECTV) vSlfn gene to poxvirus pathogenesis using mousepox model of infection. To this effect we have generated a collection of vSlfn mutant ECTVs that have been fully sequenced and used in RNAseq analysis of the host immune response to infection with these viruses. Here we enclose the reads corresponding to vSlfn mutant ECTVs sequencing and the reads corresponding to host transcriptomes derived from infected tissues.
